Major Kathryn Mone

Kathryn Mone has been with the York County Sheriff's Office since April of 2023.  Before joining us in Maine, she spent over 20 years in law enforcement in New Hampshire.  Her last four years in New Hampshire she served as the Chief of Police of a coastal town.

 

Kathryn holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of New Hampshire.  In 2017, she graduated from the 269th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.  This achievement she shares with both Sheriff King and Chief Deputy Forbes.

 

Kathryn set her sights on a career in law enforcement when she was still in high school.  Over the course of her career, she has enjoyed many aspects of public safety from traffic enforcement and investigations to budgeting and policy development.  Service to the public and support of employees and colleagues have been her highest priorities.
