York County Budget Committee Caucuses
The caucuses to elect municipal and public representatives to membership on the York County Budget Committee are scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2023 at 6:30 PM at the York County Courthouse, 45 Kennebunk Road, Alfred, ME.
Find out who your representatives are for each district, both elected and public, and what vacancies there are.
In order for the caucuses to be successful, Elected Officials from the twenty-nine (29) cities and towns in the county should plan to attend. Only Elected Municipal Officials can vote to seat Budget Comittee Members.
There are five (5) Districts in the County of York. Each district has two (2) elected municipal officials and one (1) member from the public for a total of three (3) members in each district and fifteen (15) members county-wide (5 districts x 3 members each = 15).
Included in the document available to download is a copy of the districts with the listing of the municipalities in each as well as the vacancies in each district and the length of term for each. The statute requires that only one (1) member can be elected from eah town. A copy of the statute explaining the process is also attached.
Notice of Public Hearing: June 10, 2024, 6 pm
The York County Budget Committee will be holding a Public Hearing on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 6 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to hear any comments on the proposed fiscal year 2025 York County budget. The Hearing will be held at the York County Government Building, 149 Jordan Springs Road, Alfred, ME.

Notice of Public Hearing - June 12, 4PM
The York County Budget Committee will be holding a Public Hearing on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to hear any comments on the proposed fiscal year 2024 York County budget. The Hearing will be held at the York County Government Building, 149 Jordan Springs Road, Alfred, ME.
Budget Committee Meeting: May 22
The Budget Committee Meeting will be held on Monday, May 22nd, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
It will be held at the York County Government Building in the EMA training room.
