About Us
A branch of the Emergency Management Agency, led by the Chief Fire Administrator, the York County Fire and EMS Assistance Office, provides support and assistance to the 36 fire and EMS agencies within York County. The Chief Fire Administrator is an integral part of the County’s Incident Management Team. This office also operates the HAZMAT Response Team, Juvenile Fire Safety Program, and oversees the County’s Fire Instructor Cadre. In cooperation with the York County Chiefs’ Association, it organizes and delivers several firefighter training programs throughout the year. Through a partnership with the York County Community College, it helps to provide Emergency Medical Technician classes on a regular basis.
