The York County Commissioners hosted Senator Angus King on Friday, March 10. Senator King met with County Commissioners and members of the planning committees overseeing the proposed York County Regional Treatment Recovery and Training Complex.
The County allocated the majority of its ARPA funding to address two areas of great need in York County: addiction and recovery, and emergency services training. The Behavioral and Recovery Center will address the need for a multi-faceted response to addiction and recovery from initial detox to long-term care and recovery, while the Training Center will provide round-the-clock training for emergency services, including Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and Corrections.
