Where did you grow up and go to school?
We lived in Swampscott, Massachusetts, where I attended grades 1-3. When I was 10 years old, we moved to Newfield, Maine, where I attended the two-room schoolhouse. I then attended Massabesic High School during my freshman and sophomore years and finished my junior and senior years at Sanford.

As a 40-year York County employee reaching retirement, I wanted to stay involved in county government, and what better way than to run for Commissioner? I was honored to have won the position.
How long have you been a Commissioner?
I have been a commissioner, representing District 4, which includes Alfred, Dayton, Limerick, Lyman, Sanford, and Waterboro, for three years.
What do you like most about being a Commissioner?
Being involved with finding solutions to problems, verifying for the taxpayers that they are getting the best value for their money, and working to make sure the county is as transparent as possible.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family and friends; I enjoy spending time on the water, whether it’s a pool, pond, lake, or ocean; traveling is my weakness, and I relish the thought of snowshoeing through the woods after a snowstorm!
